Embracing the Journey: Finding Positives in Delays

It is what it is, which is okay! Although, we did not get the news we sought tonight; it is fortunate we weren't denied our request, but unfortunately, the board did vote to follow-up with more questions for our engineers at the next meeting, next month. So month 8 will not be our go month, it will have to be month 9.
I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and that a healthy perspective is all you need. There is no good news or bad news, just news - we decide how to interpret it.
Like I told my wife, maybe we could see steel prices come down over the next month, interest rates move down, demand dwindle so inventory increases, or we end up making even more improvements to the building we hadn't previously thought of, who knows, the sky is the limit for how many positives this speed bump will allow.
The only thing that will change between now and the February meeting is we will be even more ready.
Also, I attached a photo of me and Lee with the new rig we just bought that will be attached inside the church for the CrossFit Open and our Friday Night Lights. Despite the fire, limited classes, limited space, we are thriving, and all of our leaders are incredible.
And the second photo I attached is of my son Anderson digging for treasure in our mulch. He's using plastic raptor claws, and wearing a spongebob shirt with crocs. This remains my focus and love in life, regardless of the circumstance, I'm beyond grateful for my wife, my friends, my gym, my church, and my kids. This is what's important to me, the building is just a small speed bump that we'll get past sooner than we realize!
