Rising From Ashes

Every story has its challenges, and ours began when a fire destroyed the building we called home for 13 years. We purchased it as a foreclosure in 2011 and renovated it with our own two hands over years, and on May 7th 2023, it was removed from our lives. That space wasn’t just four walls; it was where lives were changed, friendships were built, and our community grew stronger. Losing it broke our hearts, but it gave us something we never expected — a chance to rebuild with renewed purpose.

That’s how The PHNX was born. A building not built by a developer or large unknown investor, but built by a local couple who lost it all, only to (literally) rebuild from the ashes. To us, this is more than a venue; it’s our home, designed for you to create your own unforgettable moments.

From Our Dream to Yours

When Candace and I got married, we were young and couldn’t afford a fancy venue. Instead, she transformed a blank gymnasium ourselves into her dream wedding space. She turned a blank canvas into her perfect wedding. It was ours, and it became a memory we’ll cherish forever.

After the fire, that memory became an inspiration, a guiding light. We wanted to create a space where others could do the same — take a blank canvas and make it entirely their own. The only slight difference is The PHNX is an absolutely stunning venue compared to the canvas we used those many years ago. Whether it’s a wedding, a gathering, a luncheon, a fundraiser, or a corporate event, The PHNX is here to serve as the foundation for your vision.

A Space for You

The PHNX was designed with flexibility in mind. During the week, multiple small and local businesses operate here — it’s a close-knit vibrant hub for work and collaboration. But on weekends, it’s all about you. We’ll step back and give you the space to make it entirely yours.

If you need help, we’re here. If you know exactly what you want and just need the keys, we’ll get out of your way. Our goal is simple: to see you happy, using this space in whatever way makes sense for you.
